Warehouse Manager / Purchasing Agent
The Warehouse Manager / Purchasing agent will organizes and manage the daily operations of a warehouse. Will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and/or services required.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify purchasing needs for materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
Research and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers.
Request quotes, bids, and proposals from venders.
Negotiate prices, contracts, and delivery terms.
Create and manage purchase orders (POs).
Track all tool purchases, all tools sent and received from the field
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and field needs which may require conducting regular inventory audits.
Ensure purchased products meet quality and specification requirements.
Maintain accurate procurement records, transfers and reports.
Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements.
Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods.
Ensure proper storage and organization of products in the warehouse.
Coordinate with project management, estimating and accounting departments.
Monitor warehouse performance and improve efficiency and productivity.
Manage shipping and receiving documentation.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment such as vehicles, forklifts

education & experience
Associates degree in Business, Construction, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
1–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain.
Knowledge of inventory management and vendor management.
3–5 years of warehouse or logistics experience, often including supervisory roles.
Experience with inventory control systems and warehouse software.
Most work is office-based, but the role may involve meeting suppliers plus time on the warehouse floor and outside in all weather conditions.
