Construction Project Engineer

The Construction Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from inception through completion. Working closely with project managers, estimators, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented and organized working with contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction activities.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and manage Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, change orders, and project documentation.
  • Participate in project meetings, maintain project records, meeting minutes, daily reports, and correspondence.
  • Support procurement of materials and equipment to meet project timelines.
  • Support project closeout activities, including punch lists, final documentation, and turnover packages.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or residential construction (entry-level candidates with relevant internships may be considered).
  • Knowledge of construction industry
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, or Autodesk Construction Cloud).
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is preferred.

Preffered Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of project documentation and contract administration.

working conditions:

  • Combination of office and construction site environments.
  • Frequent travel to project sites may be required.
