Construction Project Estimator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Project Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and supporting the bidding process for a variety of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare detailed cost estimates
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, materials, and equipment
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
  • Prepare and submit competitive bid proposals
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in project estimates
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients
  • Maintain and update cost databases and estimating tools
  • Assist in project handoff to operations team after contract award

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in construction estimating
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Edge, or similar)
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preffered skills:

  • Experience with commercial projects
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
  • Experience with budgeting and project scheduling
